THE EXPERIENCE
YOU NEED
The Peace of Mind You Deserve.

Care’s athletic background resulted in her winning her age group in the Bolder Boulder 10K road race three separate times. She brings this competitive spirit to all of her cases and to the courtroom where she will fight for the client’s best resolution. Prosecutors and judges find her to be easy to work with, yet she is a tough contender in court.
Over 30 Years in the Courtroom
Many attorneys hold themselves out as litigators, but far fewer actually set foot in the courtroom. Care has spent all of her legal career litigating in and out of the courtroom. Her decision to leave the bench after 15 years was the result of a strong desire to participate in hearings and trials, including jury trials.
Care offers compassionate and friendly service; however, she understands that what matters in the end is results. Your divorce may lead to litigation, or criminal charges against you may be challenged in court. If conflict arises, you will benefit from Care Enichen's extensive courtroom experience, which includes decades of experience as a Boulder County judge, district attorney, and private practice lawyer.
As a deputy district attorney, Care prosecuted hundreds of criminal cases on behalf of the elected Boulder County District Attorney. These cases included DUIs, domestic violence crimes, traffic offenses including felony traffic crimes, and probation violations. As a result of that experience, Care brings to her current practice a working knowledge of the District Attorney’s Office in Boulder and across the state. This includes a familiarity with the discovery process, bond modifications, negotiations and sentencing practices.
Care was appointed by the governor of Colorado as a county court judge in 1995. In that role, she presided over thousands of misdemeanor and felony cases and conducted both civil jury trials and civil protection order hearings. Care brings her unique perspective as a judge to her private practice in countless ways, which distinguishes her from most other private practitioners. Care is able to understand what arguments will be persuasive in all settings from bond hearings following an arrest to closing arguments at a criminal jury trial.
After 15 years on the bench, Care was eager to pivot to private practitioner. As a trial attorney, Care now spends time in courthouse several times each week, including in Boulder County and surrounding areas. Care has represented clients in judicial districts across the state. The favorite part of Care’s practice is explaining the legal ramifications and options in every case to clients. It is a common experience for clients to come into our firm uncertain and sometimes fearful about the unknown legal situation they find themselves in. After consultation with Care, clients understand their options going forward. Care arms them with knowledge, clarity, and reasonable expectations. She is committed to her clients’ success and personal welfare. Care follows the mantra of taking the high road for herself and for her clients, which is a large reason for her success.
